This semester-long project challenged teams to build a product or service "at the intersection of Social and Service." Cumulus, a research facilitation network, was the result of our extensive ideation and research process.
Our user research included faculty, staff and student interviews, contextual inquiry and participatory research sessions. Our research highlighted the need for information filtering in the research community as well as the lack of any current platform that could connect researchers across disciplines.
Our solution was a platform that would dynamically adapt to the user's research area, filter out irrelevant information, manage the user's existing research materials and proactively enable collaboration with other researchers working on related topics.
